I have been enthusiastic about the Tria markers (plan felt pens) from LETRASET for a long time. When I saw on their homepage that they recently started offering products for manga artists and that they have an online manga gallery, I immediately sent in a few drawings of mine. Then they told me that they would like to offer a set specifically for Manga and asked me if I would select the 24 shades for the set and draw illustrations for the packaging. O.o I was totally flabbergasted (and of course I immediately accepted the offer)! XD I found it quite difficult to choose 24 manga-specific shades, since manga artwork is not limited to certain colors. So I suggested to LETRASET to bring at least two sets on the market, one for Shonen (boy manga) and one for Shojo (girl manga). I made sure that the colors complement each other when buying both sets and not repeat. I painted each of the illustrations with the 24 colors that are included in the corresponding manga set.
